NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR LIVE MUSIC APPEAR
Slowly but sureley opportunities for musicians to perform in NSW are beginning to appear since a direction was given from the NSW Department of Planning that councils can no longer require development consent for live entertainment in NSW Pubs, Bars, Cafes and Restaurants.
A growing group of Hotels in the inner west, as well as some brand new small bars and licensed restaurants are commencing live entertainment as an ancillary activity to their retail business of serving food or alcohol. It’s now up to the rest of NSW to catch up with what these first cabs off the rank are doing.
